Small Update on House Select Committee on Benghazi Resolution

Two more co-signers this week - Bill Huizenga of Michigan on Tuesday and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus of Alabama on Wednesday.
187 sitting House Republicans now signed on, 45 to go.
(More of an update for those with Benghazi interest than an attempt to start a thread ...)

Could anyone see any democrats jumping ship in a desperate attempt to save their own hides?

Possibly as many as 5 if the Resolution is brought to a floor vote, though they wouldn't be needed. None of the 45 Republican holdouts have indicated they would vote against it or abstain from voting, so the votes would be there.
12 of the 19 members of the proposed committee are already known, with 5 additional Republicans and 2 additional Dems to be named by Boehner and Pelosi respectively. Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy would almost certainly be among the 5 Republicans.
The sticking point is likely an unwillingness by Issa, Rogers and McKeon to take a chance that they would not be named Chairman of the Committee (each will definitely be among the 19, but all want to be the guy in charge).
Perhaps a game of rock-scissors-paper could end this foolishness among the three.
