Not to suggest there is a muslim connection...BUT, if there is... you won't hear anything about this until the media has gone thru their pre-determined top 10 list of usual suspects...

I saw one blog that said the pilot was Muslim. But that's unusual even though Malaysia is a majority Muslim country. Most of the pilots are Chinese and it would make sense that a Chinese pilot would be chosen to fly a plane full of Chinese Malaysians to China.
BTW, every time I read something from "The Prime Minister of Malaysia" I can't help think of Zoolander:

While it could certainly end up being the act of a Muslim, how is it in anyway helpful to speculate about that with zero evidence to support it?

Seems like the names of the crew sounded muslim.
Capt. = Zaharie Ahmad Shah

The investigation should ead where it leads. The truth is the only thing that matters.
That being said, when an incident like this one happens, the possibility that it was an act of Islamic terrorism is always the 3,000 pound elephant in the room. Unlike the Tea Party folks, it's politically incorrect to speculate about Islamic terrorism. George Stephanopolous won't be on the internet trying to find a connection with Islamic extremism, the way he tried to tie the Tea Party to one of those shootings in Colorado.
