QB- Future HOF'er.
RB-A stable of backs who can be very effective. Khiry Robinson is expected to have a break out season.
TE-Best in Football
OL-Seemingly will be better w/ Armstead having another year of development. Assuming we resign Strief.
WR- Young talent combined w/ experience missing only a deep threat.

DL-Great young talent in Hicks and Jordan. Top flight pass rush.
LB-Should be upgraded with the return of Butler coupled w/ the emerging OLB/DE Gallette.
DB-Vastly upgraded unit. Byrd makes this secondary elite coupled with Vaccaro and Lewis.

When you go position by position it seems that the Saints are a WR & an OL from having a roster with seemingly no holes. Adding Browner to the DB's would push this defense to the levels of San Fransisco and Seattle. Every position has a player who is at very least serviceable. This roster has the potential to be our most talented in some time at least on paper.

Which leaves us at the question of what are your expectations for this team? For me I'd expect nothing less than 12 wins and wouldn't be shocked by 13-14 wins. This may be the year Drew gets his second ring

we're looking like a true contender for this season, imo.

...2015 might be the best opportunity to win it.

Whoa there. Still some work to be done.

It is a good roster for sure though.

definitely, but it's hard to doubt that this offense will once again be top 5 when the dust settles...and the D looks better than last season.

Saying this on the more sports board definitely brings the lulz. Those Pats fans are very adamant in their belief that a guy who can't stay on the field for more than 30 plays a year is the best in the league.

10-6/11-5 is what I see. Hopefully we can squeeze out a #2 seed with that.

If we can control the clock and run the ball this year than the sky is the limit. CSP has to have a change in offensive philosophy.

13-3, maybe better.

We're going to have an even better defense.

We're going to have a better offensive line. Armstead is a game changer.

For sure. all it takes is one game to ruin a great season. One game where pressure comes consistently up the middle and you exit the playoffs early again as a result because the problem wasnt addressed in FA.

If our WRs can get separation (we havent aquired any so far that can), we at least need to give Brees time to thread the needle.

The opposite of this.

There is nothing close to a perfect roster and to even contemplate such terms invite nothing but disappointment.

Denver has already been crowned champ after their moves. Let them and others live with that crap.

There have been many of these pre season dream teams crowned and few if any ever live up to it.

Just enjoy the ride

If we resign Strief...

I will watch all 3 days of the draft with my pants around my ankles

replace my lotion with white chocolate syrup and fap myself into a willie wonka creation

Shaping up to be the best roster this team has ever had under Payton, not even joking. Of course they also need to hit on some draft picks.

This is a very, very good team. I'm worried about WR, but I believe they will cover that. I also think they can fill in the C role just fine. It will be about health, but the defense should be incredible.

It is going to be up there if we draft a center. Certainly a huge improvement over last season based on LT alone (if we resign Streif).

Yeah injuries can for sure derail a season but it can ruin any team so I'll be optimistic and assume we are gonna stay relatively healthy.

Resign Strief, draft a Center and it's likely an upgrade over last season for the O-line. They came on strong down the stretch. People shite on DLP on here all the time, but the entire line looked good once Armstead took on the starting LT spot. WIth that said, an upgrade at Center can easily be had in the 3rd round or so, which would make the line even better than last season.

I think we have a great shot at the #1 seed and if we do I don't see anyone beating us in the Dome. Send us to an indoor stadium in Arizona and I can easily see us hoisting the Lombardi again.

Plus the two positions we need help at, WR & OL happen to be the deepest positions in this years draft.

I think we are missing more than that.

If you don't account for injury, I'd agree that Gronkowski is better.

this is the perfect year to be lacking in the receiver department, in the 2nd round you could still possibly land a WR#1 caliber player.

As for everything else, you sign strief and browner, you're looking at a 12-4 team at minimum or it'll be a bust season (given everyone stays relatively healthy and no major IRs)

Why?

With 1st/2nd you cover WR, in 3rd/4th you cover center, and in 4th/5th you cover change of pace RB.

What other holes do you have? a rangy ILB/OLB (assuming everyone stays healthy) is the only true upgrade I can see.
