Kiss My Lingerie started accepting the EBT card eight months ago, and according to the Department of Children and Family Services, it's perfectly legal.

When I worked at Victoria's Secret one summer in college we have our tax free weekend in Texas for necessity items like clothing, so of course all of our merchandise qualified.

Busiest weekend I ever had working there

They already are able to use them anywhere. In some states they trying to prevent them from being used at strip clubs and casinos. EBT cards are like a debit card and can be used at ATM's, so there really is no control on how they spend the money.

How can you whore out your teenage daughter for good drugs if she has to wear Walmart panties? Who's going to buy that?

I can think of one - don't let them use it as an AYM/debit card.

I think the big problem with this is there is no shame in using food stamps these days. It's now considered by many users a a badge of honor.

Louisiana does not dictate to families how to spend the money they receive on the cards

The Louisiana EBT website says that residents can purchase cleaning products, pet food and paper products with their EBT cards, and that some grocery stores allow residents to get cash back from a transaction

I'm so glad that they get to spend my money however they want and I get to feed the dog too!

some grocery stores allow residents to get cash back from a transaction. However, cash benefits don't cover tobacco, alcohol, lottery tickets, casinos and adult entertainment.

Will someone tell me how you prevent the grocery store cash back from being spent in the casino?

They should just call it what it is - The program to take Republican money to buy Democrat votes.

Even if they mailed them a check, once the money hits their account they can spend it anyway they want.

Well, there was that "Larry the cable guy" skit on those "eating shorts" that gave him diabetes...So, there is some anecdotal evidence of a food source..

this article is not talking about food stamps. it is referring to the EBT card that families that receive TANF (welfare) benefits receive
