I think I am. I am running the CCC 2 mi this sunday to get a qualifying bib, BUT the CCC is the week after IMNOLA 70.3, so I will wait and see before I register.

Probably not gonna make it again this year. This will be 2 years in a row that I qualify for a starting position then injure myself so I can't run.

I always wanted to just jump out at the gun and hop in front with the Kenyans for about 300yards before I get too winded.

that said, what's your goal?

hopefully the weather will be as perfect this year as it was last year. gorgeous day except for the headwind heading out on the bike. got a little warm at the end of the day though...i'm sure the later swim waves were suffering a bit from the heat.

My goal is to complete the CCCC (Crescent City Classic Challenge), which is where you eat or drink any food or beverage that is offered to you for free during the race

Stay to the right, or better yet, start at 9.

FUCCCKKK that. I made mistake in 06 of eating a devil dog and drinking half a beer right when you turn on Esplanade. I never hurt so bad during a race in my adult life.

I'm going for next year. I'm new to running and have lost about 85 lbs so far, running it next year non-stop is my ultimate goal.

Something under 45:00

With a hard race the week prior, I need to be realistic.

This will be a slower top 500 due to the race being the same weekend as the Boston Marathon, so I don't know where 44:59 will get me, but anything under 45:00 and I'll be happy.
