in St Tammany, Washington, St. Helena or the Feliciana parishes. My buddy said that turkey hunters would rather let you have sex with their wife than tell you a good place to turkey hunt so I thought, either way I'm a winner!

Those are prolly the worst parishes in the state for turkeys. I would try Lafourche Plaquemines and St. Bernard. Lot more birds down there.

Good info. I want to start turkey hunting but the only guy I know that hunts is telling me that LA turkey hunting sucks. I don't think I want to drive 10 hours to TX and pay $3K + $250 per bird to hunt turkeys.

Lots of turkeys around in all of the places you are interested, but looking the week before the season opens is pretty tough. Good luck.

Look Ill' let you in on my secret if you promise tell nobody. Sandy Hollow WMA is in youre area and is loaded with gobblers. Strangly enough I never run into another hunter there? They seem to be vocal to gobbling a lot on roost and I believe its because of the lack of pressure?

I hunt the north track so you better stay out. Like I said previous this damn bar exam is keeping me busy but I will be out there fighting sugarasses tooth and foot for a bird. Also if you got no idea what youre doing stay the hell out and watch duck hunting videos all day

I was just messing with you. Those are all good turkey parishes. Don't pay to go to Texas. We have plenty of birds here they're just tough to kill some times.

Go to where Hwy 1054 crosses Bunch Branch creek east and north of Amite, park on the west side of the road on the south side of the bridge and remember these two phrases:
"IrvinsaiidIcouldhunthere"

& "Whatchamenhesoldit?"

Wish I knew the first thing about turkey hunting. We have a ton of land and are always getting them on the game cams but nobody in my family hunts them

Location of said land?

If no one else is hunting then I would be happy to keep the population under control. I wouldn't want them to interfere with your deer hunting.
