I saw them in 1996 in Springfield, MO at a small venue (perhaps 5,000 person arena).

Without a doubt, no question, the best music performance I've ever seen. No debate.

I guess your definition of small venue and large is different from mine

Compared to the arenas that Tool usually performs in, this particular place would indeed be small.

However, I get what you're saying. To clarify, I haven't seen Tool perform in, say, a small bar. That would be incredible. Regardless, the place I watched them perform at in Springfield, MO in 1996 was an incredible venue.

By the way...I won't list all of the bands that I've seen to convince a random naysayer that I'm musically informed. I've seen more concerts than I can remember, probably much more than the average individual.

Tool's performance beats them all.
