I know it's been discussed that this was practically a certainty, but Donald Trump made the official announcement on the Today Show a little while ago.

Someone needs to inform the contestants that Bogies is the required post-pageant muster point. Required dress code is slutty.

"I am looking forward to bringing an event back to Baton Rouge to experience the charm of the Capital City.”

Would be better if it was held in St. George.

I don't see how it's going to be at L'auberge.... The facilities can't really handle that pageant. The BR part is obviously true, but I gotta say that I think WAFB and the Times-Picayune will have to issue a correction after Kip makes the announcement because the River Center is much more reasonable of a location.

OK, so we've got company coming over. Time to dole out the chores. We've got to pick up the trash, cut the grass, fix the fences, and replace the guard rails along the interstate. Someone needs to get the pressure washer out and hit those underpasses.

The Areas north of the Capital are just too much to take on, so I think we should just put up barricades on 110 after the capital with signs that say "Under Construction, please pardon the inconvenience."

I was thinking this too. The L'auberge barely had room for the Signing Day party. No way they have room for a major pageant like this.

I would put money on the Picayune and WAFB issuing a correction after Kip speaks.

I love how our news sources fact check so well...

Jk. I know they just want to be FIRST to get the story out, whether it's correct or not.

From Vegas to the Baton Rouge River Center?! I don't get it. What does Trump want to build around here?

I agree... it definitely seems odd to me too.

The Mississippi River provides the perfect avenue for export of any manufactured product, with the rail hub of Baton Rouge providing easy access to raw materials. Donald Trump is considering a site along the river in Iberville Parish for the construction of a factory which will utilize local raw materials and feed stock from nearby petrochemical plants to produce manufactured aurum cerebrum, a common treatment for Alopecia areata which Donald Trump is rumored to have been suffering from since the early 1990s.
