Anybody know how Grimes is gelling with the OL?

How are the seniors taking to him and has he taken "ownership" of OL drills? In the past, it seemed like Miles was running OL drills many times.

I've read he is a great teacher and fundamentals are a huge part of his focus. He wants multiple guys to play multiple spots. good things... which is a great thing

FWIW the early reports from people at practice say Grimes is not a yeller but is instead pretty calm at practice. He spends a crap ton of time focusing on technique and the guys seem to be very attentive to what he's telling them.

This is a good sign, if true. Hopefully, this guy really knows what he's doing and doesn't have to compensate by yelling.

I'm hearing Grimes has banned BBQ sauce from the team meals.

I liked what I saw regarding Malone. What I really liked was that he did not have a huge protruding belly hanging over his pants. I really think the lineman need to get in better shape. Speed and agility will more than compensate for the bad weight that many of our OL have been carrying.

Not sure but if you guys put in much stock in to the big cat drill then this would show you our tight ends might have a tough time blocking

I wouldn't take much away from the big cat drill or TE's going up against DEs.

What an in-depth and insightful report.
A coach is focusing on technique at practice. And the guys are very attentive.
I bet this is the only place in America where such activity takes place.

God forbid the head coach, who just happens to be an o-lineman himself, take over OL drills.
Where do you people dream this crap up?

First, I didn't dream it; I saw it several times on practice videos. I can only dream of the times he took over OL drills that I was not able to witness. I do find it somewhat telling that Miles had to take over OL drills from Stud on several occasions that I didn't dream up much less the times that I can dream of.
The question, which seemed to go over your head, was whether the new OL coach seemed to be in charge of OL drills now in lieu of the head coach. Does he have "ownership" or not? Maybe, it's too early to tell, but it's a valid question.

Were you this big of a gayhole in your previous 11,601 posts? I can't be bothered to look any of them up so just nod or shake your head.
