A more recent one, but I really liked the theme for True Detective. It seemed to really fit with the aesthetic of the show.

frickING LOVE the True Detective theme.
If you're into country/westerns and folk, give The Handsome Family a listen. The album with the theme song is pretty solid IMHO.

I have one Handsome Family record I bought years ago... I just had to check if that song was on it, it's not... I have Through the Trees (1998)
That is a great song, I need to listen to this record again, I dont think I ever listened to it much even when I bought it..

Far from any Road is from Singing Bones (2003). That's the only record of their's that I've listened to, but will probably give others a listen soon.
