They had to put her down yesterday...good God that was really bad. Havent seen my mom that upset since her mother died 18 years ago. And seeing my dad balling, man I was soo not ready for that. Very brutal day that Im glad is over with! Then again, when my dog meets his ending..hell Im gonna be a basket case for a good day or two.

Pets are special and losing them is as hard as losing family members sometimes.
Prayers sent!

I went over there like any grown man...ok, mom and dad are upset..gonna be their rock to lean on..gonna be strong.. soon as that door opened up.. I dont give a damn how cold a man you are.. you see your mom all red eyed and balling her eyes out..you start to cry too. Dang dog never had me cry over her til yesterday!

I'm going to be a basket case when my dog dies. He's my first dog that is mine and I paid for and everything.

I still get teary eyed over my childhood pup

My sympathies.

Lost mine (put her down) in September.....after she went lame in July. Been on a bender since until this past Saturday. She would've been 14 I think in November.

One of the top 3 hardest things I've ever had to deal with.

Sucks.

Sorry, man. It's never easy after that long. I went through the same thing last year. Had to pick my mom up off the ground in the vets office. Tough stuff. Remember the good times.

yes that does suck, but not near as bad as taking care of your parents dog and it dies on your watch

I have one that is a bit over 15 years old and it going to be hard on the family when time comes. The good thing is that he still has the peep of a 1 year old .

Dogs become part of the family. Sorry for your loss. I cried my eyes out when I had to put my last chocolate lab down. One of the worst days of my life.
