Spring is just around the corner and it's a great time for Birding. Anyone here enjoy the hobby?

I saw a male rufous sided towhee at my grandparent's house the other day. Very cool looking bird.

Went kayaking in the atchafalaya over the weekend and someone I was with noticed an owl perched on a cypress tree. She had some good eyes cause that thing blended in real well. Other people saw some blue herons.
Owl looked similar to

I would say domesticating birds to fly around and catch shite for you is altering reality, it just doesn't sound as fun as drugs and alcohol.
