If he manages to win a "BCS" title at this point, he should go down as the GOAT in CFB.

Notice he said WE.

Yall gotta quit this stuff. Let the dude have a year to prove the potential.

By saying this mess without seeing him even take the field... you are seriously underestimating some great individual seasons in LSU history.

It's essentially a running gag at this point. We're excited for LF7, deal with it.

I'm glad we aren't setting this guy up to be a bust with unrealistic expectations.

Hold on to the annointing until he gets a few carries under his belt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the guy to light it up on Saturday nights.

What's with all the "curb your enthusiasm" people in this thread? It hurts nothing to be super excited about him I didn't even watch football period when Faulk was recruited, but I'd bet the house that people thought he'd be the GOAT here.

Now that one guy is pretty insane saying GOAT LSU player considering all the big names that have went through LSU athletics, but man if he does!

Or maybe he peaked in HS like Freak. I remember getting a great recruit at running back. He was supposed to be the greatest. He turned out to be an average LSU tailback. Luckily we recruited a little 5'8" slow guy from Patterson LA who ran with explosive power and had cuts like Terry Metcalf. LSU fans were outraged when Dalton Hilliard got the PT instead of Garry James until Hilliard went to Gainesville and ran roughshod over the top five ranked Gators. He went on to play for the Saints and was an All Pro I think.

I'm sure some people said the same thing about Russel Shepard, but I do think Leonard will realistically play to some of the high expectations. Maybe not in the first game against Wisconsin, but I think by sophomore year he could be as good if not better than Jeremy Hill...objectively speaking.

GOAT hype. Probably. GOAT LSU player. Doubtful. I'd imagine anyone who starts at LSU has the possibility to be the GOAT.

Hey, let's let him actually, you know, play in a college game before we make any kind of absurd predictions.

He's the greatest athlete who ever lived. Better than Jesus in his prime.
