Wish it could have worked out better. Played his arse off for 9 years. Monte Kiffen was his downfall with the organization.

I remember seeing the draft class at a Dallas Desperados game. Great class with Barber and Spears

He was due a lot of money for someone who's production was declining, and couldn't stay healthy. It opens the door to get a lot younger really fast.

Assuming Jerry doesn't frick up the draft

He was hurt every year. Not a very valid point. The D scheme didn't fit. When he was moved to DE it was all but over

cowboys fans will justify anything

jerry and stephen jones are TERRIBLE GMs. they have paid a crap ton of money to players who dont deserve it, and then cant work out a deal with their best defensive player. fricking brilliant.

Ware's "declining production" has a lot more to do with Kiffin than it does anything else. Im going to laugh when hes healthy next year and in a 3-4 wrecking shite.

Not so much since they restructured multiple players deals.

By cutting Ware, Cowboys now have $8.5 million in cap space.

Good player but NOT a Hall of Famer.....as ESPN was trying to say he is this AM.

Everyone is NOT a HOF player!

Oh really? Has potential to break into the Top 10 all time sack list. Would have done it with 2 mediocre years the last 2 years

He certainly didn't fit in the 4-3, but his production dropped big in 2012 as well. 9 sacks in the first 8 games and 2.5 in the last 8. 8.5 sacks in his last 21 games isn't worthy of the money he was going to get paid. I think he has a few more years of being productive in a 3-4, but he certainly doesn't fit in Dallas. Bringing back Hatcher is more important. You can probably get Spencer a lot cheaper and provide similar production to Ware as well.

No they don't. Saints have a way worse cap situation than Dallas does. Jerry and his boy Stephen suck at running a team and finding talent but they are pretty good at working at over 100% of the cap.

They were $24M over the cap a couple weeks ago.
Now they're about 8M under it
