It's streaming on NPR Music now, and comes out next week. I know it's early, but it's on my short list for top 5 in 2014.

I've only listened to the whole album once so far. Can't wait to listen while driving.

But I have probably listened to Red Eyes 50+ times. My favorite track of the year. The part at 1:48 when he shouts "whoo" and the snare kicks in is as good as it gets.

I would implore any Springsteen/Dylan/Petty/etc. fans to check it out. Or anyone who thinks rock is dead.

Seaward, you see The Civic announced Modest Mouse on May 12th?

Just saw that on Facebook. Pretty excited about making that one.

NMH, Cloud Nothings, Modest Mouse isn't a bad three month stretch.

I was just listening to that song a few minutes ago. I posted it in the "What are you listening to" thread.

I kind of like the name. It's an unusual name for sure.

At least it isn't a name with "Bear", "Wild", or "Black". I swear, every band out now has one of these words in their name.

I think I have posted it at least two times already in that same thread. I can't get enough of it.

I'm two songs in so far and that second song has a big Waterboys feel to it...

I don't think I've even ever heard of them. I'll try and check it out though, any album in particular?

I just listened to Arms Like Boulders for the first time the other day (all I was familiar with prior was Slave Ambient) and I am absolutely hooked to it as well. Just a fun song. Taking the Farm as well. I guess I need to get Wagonwheel Blues.

It's a good one

Also Future Weather, which was their EP before Slave Ambient is great although it includes most of the same songs including a more acoustic quiter version of Brothers which I actually prefer.

Sweet, gonna check out the album. Been wearing "Red Eyes" out since its early release. Thanks.

Yeah I thought the same until I actually streamed this. Just the name makes you want to pass on listening but damn if this isn't some pretty good stuff. Already started the second stream this morning.
