Got contacted by them for a potential outside sales job in Houston.

Are they worth talking to?

Spends on your situation. If you are trying get experience it's a great place to cut you r teeth. It is cut throat and transactional though.

This guy.

Did it for over three years.

Did you get contacted for Small Business Services or Major Accounts?

Had 2 separate phone interviews and two separate in-person interviews with them. Seemed like a good place to gain experience but not a great company culture and very cut-throat. I opted to move in a different direction.

Do you have any outside sales experience? You will be selling to mom and pop owners with less than 50 employees.

Prepare to work the phones, partner with Chase personal bankers and local CPAs that unfortunately don't think too highly of ADP.

Did you submit your resume to them or did they find you through Careerbuilder?

I have to do some business with them through my current job. I don't know what they'd be like to work for, but they can be a real pain in the arse to work with.

They found me on LinkedIn. I'm currently in outside sales. I was just curious as to if it's worth venturing out. After the few responses, it doesn't seem like a good move to go to them.

It's their internal recruiter looking for sales people. They burn through them, because many can't cut it and don't like working the phones all day.

Base is around $40K. Can open doors for you to the medical and pharmaceutical world. Looks good on your resume because ADP does have a very good sales training program that is recognized nationally.

are you satisfied with what you're making now? If so, I probably wouldn't make the switch because it's a freaking grind, but the money can be very good.

How great does it really look on your resume though if they burn through sales reps and you don't stay there long? I'd think that would hurt your longevity, right?

The best way to do well is to partner with Chase and CPAs. Chase Bankers will make copy of payroll checks that come through their bank and ask the person the check is made out to for the business owner's name and then share that information with ADP.

CPAs will look out for their client and share with them a price savings opportunity,

Yes, but I made it 3.5 years, almost 4 I believe. I am now in a completely different industry but am thankful I received the sales training that I did. It helped me get to where I am today.

Their initial number was lower.

I've heard this from a few people. That, in itself, almost makes it worth it.
