Do the oil change yourself. Fuel filter too. Piece of cake unless you're strapped for time or just really don't feel like doing it.

Not in Baton Rouge but I don't let anyone but the dealership touch mine. They keep track and call me when it needs maintenance then come pick it up at my office and leave me a loaner til it's returned.

Ford diesel guys probably take their trucks to someone in order to change the oil. You might want to edit your thread title that specifically targets "those" guys.

Why ford Diesel guys?

Yes I take mine to the dealer because I don't have the time to do it myself.

Some people don't feel like fricking with 5 gallons of oil. The price difference isn't really that much either way

OP, Tri-care on Airline is where to go

Don't take it to the dealership if your dealership is Robinson brothers. They have some good mechanics, but also have some dumbfuks. Like someone said, bring it to TriCare. They are the best.

Take mine to the dealership, it's free. Used to change my own oil when I had gas but the difference is about 60$ in diesel.

I don't know about Robinson Brothers but TriCare kept calling and adding another $1000 in repairs and when they got to 5k I told them to frick off.

I had my tires rotated and oil changed today in one of my gas burning trucks. I sat in the waiting room for an hour while they did it and listened to these cats work the phone. They could sell some shite. Sure enough I'm almost done and he hits me with "noticed your air filter needs to be replaced. Only $15." no thanks. I'll get it next time. Like used car salesman.

maybe you need a new air filter?

From the reference (s) they seem
pretty reputable.

I have no clue about them and understand what you're saying but an air filter change isn't that bad of a reach.

Hell 15 dollars is pretty cheap. The one in my truck is near 40 dollars at advance. .
