Check in if your True Detective theories were horribly wrong.

I just enjoyed the show myself, and didn't ruin the experience by obsessing over it.

I thought it was awesome DESPITE being filmed in South Louisiana (sarcasm)

I thought we would would get more resolve on Senator Tuttle and Audrey but I still liked the way it ended.

There are a handful of films that are pretty decent despite being filmed in Canada.

all the theories were wrong except some people guessed the lawnmower man as the killer early on

In.

Still really enjoyed the show but I have an issue with how they wrapped up the investigation.

Yeah. Seems like they let the worst offenders off the hook - the 5 guys in the video.

It kind of went like I expected it. I figured the Senator would get off the hook but they'd break up the ring and get the bad guy. I really didn't expect both of them to live, though.

Do you guys ever say "Reggie Ledoux" to yourself? It's soothing.

I read way too much into this show initially, but I enjoyed it and how it ended.

Well, I guessed at one point that Marty would turn out to be a competent investigator in 2012. I was right about that.

Overall, I was way off base. I figured that the actual cult would have been doing the killings and not the lone psycho.

And my worst prediction was that the talk of a whole new show next season was a head fake and that Marty and Rust would both die, the cult would more or less win this round and season 2 would be the 2012 detectives taking up the case.

My wife sat down about 10 minutes in and said, "why didn't you tell me about this series, this reminds me of Silence of the Lambs!" then about halfway Russ gets ax-hammer reamed by the retarded-genius and I start telling her about episode 1, about how Russ had to die now because of what he said about being a non-believer but having a crucifix to imagine how it would feel to die for a cause

but then he lives to smoke another Camel

I think just about everybody has wrong theories because there wasn't anything special about the ending so anyone who thought there was a clever twist of any kind was wrong.

my friend and i couldn't stop texting the name reggie ledoux back n forth the week after they showed him in his underwear and that mask on. we were kind of disappointed when he was killed after 2 minutes of screen time.

Weak ending, lots of questions left. Like Treme, great until the last episode.

I thought the lawnmower man was the spaghetti monster and his green ears were his John Deere green hearing protection muffs.
