If you were an extraterrestrial, how would you describe humankind as a whole?

Completely objectively, trying to explain the whole of humanity to other beings?
If asked whether to preserve or destroy humanity, what would you choose? (And you have to attempt to remove the idea of your own humanity and biological imperative for this)
What's worthy about humanity that outweighs the bad, and is it apparent enough in observation?

Delusional is the first word that comes to mind. Ignorant is another.

FWIW, I think we'll be in this position not very far in the future. We'll find some form of underdeveloped life somewhere.

They breed with reckless abandon.
They're ferociously predatorial, on their own species as well as on others.
They thrive in any surface environment on their home planet, and can adapt so submarine, atmospheric, and extra-atmospheric conditions.
Possible threat, observe from a distance, approach with extreme caution.

Self absorbed but progressing.
Would preserve and monitor technological advances.

Diverse and not in the PC meaning.

Selfish.

I don't think that's possible.

I'd describe humanity as basically good but easily influenced, for bad, by the opinions of others. I'd not only answer to preserve humanity, but would fight for that choice. I'd point out that humanity is the best of God's creation.

Some are confused and misled. I'd also say, many are resourceful and generally kind.
