I've no idea what Andre's plans are after school, but I think it would be a brilliant idea to employ Andre as a graduate assistant for the team.
He has 4 years playing experience in college
+ Has great basketball IQ
+ Is a great example of hustle
+ The right attitude to playing - he did not give up even though his height was against him in this league.
+ Knows the basketball personnel
+ Knows the practice routines
+ Willing to accept any role on the team
+ Is a man of character - done a lot of community service.
= Graduate assistant coach.
I think I might start a petition.

I'm sure he'll be playing overseas somewhere.

His brother said he has overseas interest and is a dreamer who plans to continue playing in the immediate future at least.

Dre being involved in the program in any way, shape or form would be a no lose situation.
What a class act he's been for us on and off the court.
I'm proud to say he was a Tiger and I'll always remember him fondly.

I'm cool with it.
Maybe he goes overseas, but honestly that can be a very tough life. If you're a good fringe type NBA player, that's a pretty sweet gig. There are also many players that have gone to less desirable leagues and less money and found success before returning back here. Guys like Lazare bounced around in smaller type countries (I believe he was in the Scandinavia area) before coming back to the D-league. I used to chat with Darrel Mitchell once or twice a month when he was in Ukraine. He made very good money and sent almost all of it back home, but the life there wasn't that great. You don't know anyone and you're in a country that speaks a completely foreign language.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stringer gave it a try because of all the reasons Britgirl stated...but I think it would be a great thing for him to come back as a GA. He seems to genuinely enjoy basketball and coaching is a great way to stay in the game. And he's such a team guy and been an overachiever most of his career, its hard to see him NOT succeeding in a coaching capacity
I mostly want him to come back just so we can make it to the NCAA tourney an he can experience it...he deserves to see what the experience is like.

That's cool, I'll definitely follow him.
Win or lose, if you give your all to a school that I've followed since I was a child and love, I will always be grateful. In 20-30 years not many people will remember him, but hopefully he comes back as part of the 1,000 point club or something and gets recognized so I can stand up and cheer for that young man
