SEC basketball bracket - LSU opprotunity knocking again

LSU has a great opportunity to get to the championship game this season in the SEC tournament. If they can get past Alabama in 2nd round they get Kentucky and then probably Georgia. These are all winnable games. Might be enough to get them to NIT...... I know it's a crap shoot with this bunch but the opportunity is indeed there. Scenario could not be better IMO.

we have sucked on road all season. why is that going to change now?

Wait... The NIT isn't a lock anymore?

Well, technically everybody is on the road now. So...there's that. LSU has a .666 winning % on neutral sites!!!
EDT: It's hard to say that UGA is a "winnable" game seeing as how they have really manhandled LSU twice this year

i believe most of us can admit that was not the case

hope springs eternal I guess. Funny that you're considering Georgia an easy game.

Wish I could see it but this team isn't consistant enough to win 3 or 4 games in a row

not getting my hopes up. this team is streaky as shite.

Feeling negative today. Must be the time change. I'm just ready to cut our losses and wait for next year. I have a feeling after yesterday's game, the team feels the same way. We'll see.

The NIT hasn't even taken us a few times when we probably deserved to be there. I couldn't care less about the NIT.

Which goes to show how mind boggling bad we have been coached in some games this year.
UGA is bad (but somehow managed to plunge through the SEC with little to no talent).

Should be, as of today, BracketMatrix has us as a 3rd seed in one group and has Ole Miss, Mizzou and Georgia in there too. This is of course dependent on which teams get make the NCAA Tourney.

Really? Why is this brought up? UGA finished 12-6 this year and won many games. Wasn't like they were 2-16 and both wins were against us. They had a dude last night just stroking 3's over our 5'8 shooting guard...they didn't outcoach us. They hit 3's, we shot way way too many rushed and contested 3's, and we missed FT's. There were also times we had players with open shots and didn't knock them down. LSU did not get outcoached last night. Sometimes a team can lose and it's not ALWAYS the coach's fault. I would love to know what CJJ could have done differently last night. Mickey, Hickey, and Martin played with little to no emotion, and JOB gets frustrated when he doesn't score...so should CJJ sub those players out and put in Odo, Hammink, TQ, and Darcy?
People overestimate our talent greatly. JOB is a D-leaguer, Mickey is a 4-year college player, Martin right now is looking at a D-league career unless he gets some fire under his arse, and then we have two miniature guards...

How long will people consider Georgia bad? They're the 3 seed for a reason, and they're just better than most teams they've played.

I'm going whole hog. UF somehow gets upset on the other side. Autobid.

Georgia has a pretty solid club. If we come out and play like our tourney lives depend on it,we have as good a shot as anyone outside UF. If we don't play like that, we'll be gone Friday.
