Just as a game, I'd like to hear predictions for free agents.

Not the ones you'd like to have, but your prediction for who you think we actually sign.

JG predictions as well.

I'll post mine as soon as I stop driving.

Just to humor you..

JG 6 yrs 60M

we sign a veteran RB (the team will want an insurance policy incase Ingram regresses and PT [assuming he is still on the team] gets hurt or continues averaging 3 YPC) .

The market is flooded with guys so it shouldn't be hard to pick up a vet for a good deal. I can't make a prediction as to who because there are so many and idk if CSP is more interested in a pass catcher or a power back (since he did say we're going to emphasize a power running game this offseason).

I think we definitely sign both a CB and S. Maybe not starting caliber, but we will put some depth at those positions.

Assuming we can sign JG and free some Mils I expect Strief to be resigned as well.

So you post this while driving instead?

Why not just wait to stop to make the damn thread.

We definitely don't have a depth problem there. If we sign one it will be a starter only.

We do need depth at safety and on the Oline badly.

I'm curious to see whether or not Devin Hester generates any interest with teams. Haven't watched him enough lately to know if he is still a legit return threat, but if he hasn't lost too much of a step and could be had for cheap I'd love to see him here on like a 2 year deal.

Hester is a one trick pony.....and a player who is declining bc of age.

Which is why I said if he could be had for cheap and a short term deal if he hasn't lost too much of a step. We saw how detrimental not having a return game was last year. The two main players who have fielded punts, Sproles and Moore, are gone. Cadet or stills maybe, but I'd much rather someone who could house it at any moment, and has proven to do so. Hester still is capable of catching the ball as a 4th/5th option, and could create some mismatches. Not to mention he still averaged over 10 yard per punt return and 27 per kick return last year even as "declining" player.

If you want a Hester type, Ted Ginn would be a better option.

We've talked out the JG stuff for two months

The Saints are almost impossible to predict in FA.

But as a position I think they will look for cheap veteran depth at center and another that can play multiple positions.

I am hoping Corry White can move to the safety position and we pick up a CB like Browner even with his baggage.

McCluster to replace Sproles and return kicks.

By accounts he actually had a quietly good and healthy year.
