Xenoblade vs The Last Story

I bought Xenoblade a couple of years ago because of all the hype
of it being the best current Jrpg out there. Unfortunately I didn't get into it and didn't play it much after the first town.
After looking at videos and reviews, I think The Last Story might suit me better. Seems more similar to Final Fantasy as it was made by the father of the FF series, and old school Final Fantasy (10 and before) is the whole reason I consider myself a fan of the genre.
I'm trading someone straight up Xenoblade for The Last Story today. What are some comparisons/contrasts for people who played both?

I would hold off on that trade, Xenoblade Chronicles is worth a hell of a lot more than The Last Story. You may be able to ask for 70-100 dollars and get it easily with that game.
Just go to a Gamestop and pick up The Last Story for 30 bucks.

yea, just go to Gamestop and pick up The Last Story for $30 like others have said.

Bad call financially. I'd really hope Xenoblade is better than Last Story, because Last Story was good, but certainly not great.

I just beat xenoblade
one of my favorite RPGs. You should pick it up again and get further into it before you put it down. the game and story only get better and the first town or 2 are probably the lamest areas
I havent played the last story, but a lot of people love it. its personal preference as to which one you find superior
