…on Senior night at Creighton. Hit a deep 3 to go to 3001. Has 35 in the game.

Found this article online from when his dad was hired at Creighton:

I did not realize that Doug McDermott was so lightly recruited. He is basically an after thought in that article, too. He looks so young in the photo.

I refuse to believe that he can't be a contributor to somebody in the NBA. Not saying a starter but just somebody that can provide some offense off the bench

He has the size to be an excellent 2 and play some 3.

Also, he just got pulled after scoring a career high 45.

Amazing to think that if the Pistol had a 3 point line when he played, he would probably own the most untouchable record in sports. Still pretty unreachable where it is, but mind boggling to think if he played under current rules. He was truly ahead of his time.

He is 6'8". He is not a 2.

He is a 3/stretch 4. He is going be a pretty solid pro IMO

Pete's record is never mentioned as most unbreakable record. He played 3 years and averaged 44 plus. That avg will never be touched. Had he played 4 years 5k would have been possible. With 3 pt shot for sure.

I think it tops Jo D's 56 game hitting streak, Rose's hits as most unbreakable. Cy Young's 511 wins, Van deMere's back to back no hitters and Wilt's 100 point game as the most unbreakable. But Pete is close to them.

If they made the Final Four, he'd have an outside shot at becoming the 2nd leading scorer in history (would have to average 29.7 per game in those 8 contests).

But if they make the Final Four, it's probably because he's balling out.

And Pistol only played three years, freshmen were ineligible. His numbers defy all logic.
