car wax

Whats a good, easy to apply/remove car wax? Tell me a little about your choice (price, where to get it from, how do u apply it)
I use Meguiars ultimate liquid wax. It's a little expensive ($20 or so) but it's wipes on and wipes off easily, is clear so it won't leave white residue, and will last longer than regular wax. You can get it pretty much anywhere that sells car care products.

Meguir's NXT is a good balance between cost and function. Goes on easily, beads very well, and lasts long

I used to use it on my white Tacoma and still use it on my wife's silver 4Runner. I had a hard time keeping it from streaking on my gray

LINK
I usually use Meguairs but I will be using the stuff in the above link next time. Probably not the cheapest place to buy it but first place Google showed.

If you're limited to Autozone, Meguiar's Gold Class will probably be your best bet. It's a decent wax with decent longevity.
If you're ordering online, check out Chemical Guy's waxes and sealants. I find Jet Seal and M-Seal are some of the best when it comes to longevity. If you want more depth in your paint and have a dark paint job, get a Carnuba wax from Chemical Guys.

Collinite is one of the best sealants money can buy. It's tough to get off, but once it's on it's on and it lasts. You really don't even need a carnauba on top of Collinite.
I've used all of the waxes posted in this thread except Chemical Guy's (heard good things). None of them come close to Collinite 845 as far as protection and longevity go.

Just talked to a friend. He has his own business and will: wash, clay bar, wax with Collonite, and polish for $120.
Looks like he gets the truck in a few weeks. I'll wash and polish between but that's it.

Depends on your goal. Is this a truck that you clean maybe once every 2-4 months? Or once a month? Once a week? Collinite 845 is the longest lasting...won't give as much gloss as a sealant or some other waxes, but it'll protect for months.

One or twice a year I clay bar my vehicles. Come back with a carnuba wax and use the showtime polish in between. All Mothers products from Wal Mart

If you're talking about Alex, he also has all those Chemical Guys waxes and sealants I posted about up there.
Wish you had come out to the car meet this morning!

I talked to him and he uses Chemical Guys and not Collonite. I thought he was the one that told me about Collonite but I guess not.
I was planning on going all week and even had my truck ready to outshine the Lamborghinis but had to attend a funeral. I could have came for an hour but the last time I went to a funeral drunk I pissed too many people off.
Told Alex that I am switching to a coilover front end with some new upper and lower control arms then air bagging the rear next weekend. He's going to get my truck the week after so I'll be around the shop then.

I'm a Collinite 845 fan myself. It's very durable.
But like most of the better waxes/sealants, it requires a few more steps before you apply it.
If this guy is looking to simply wash and wax (without correcting and polishing the paint) he probably needs a cleaner wax.
