#LSU kicker James Hairston will not participate in spring practice, will transfer. Wishes to do more than kickoff.

Not going to lie, I'll miss his celebration when he puts it through the back of the end zone.

Well.... if he can kick field goals out of the endzone, then he'll have a spot. Can't blame him for trying.

Why did they never let him kick? He has a good leg. Was his accuracy that bad?

Highly doubt Miles lets him transfer to a SEC school.

Not as good accuracy as Colby Dellawhoseyouraddy.

Gamble must be the truth

It apparently wasn't better than Delahoussaye's. Doesn't mean Hairston is a bad kicker, just that he's not as good as the other guy. And since Delahoussaye only missed 1 kick all year, and that was when he was hurt, I'd say they made the right call.

It's happened before. We had a DB transfer to Alabama, to be near his father. Miles puts no restrictions on where a player can transfer.

His GF goes there.

But that would still be pretty fricked up.

You'd have to be a real douchbag not to allow a kid play where he wants to play. Can Miles even block that kind of move?

He could choose to not release him of his scholarship, which would mean he'd have to sit out a year wherever he goes. I think... Y'all correct me if I'm wrong.

He'd have to sit regardless. Schools and coaches have blocked players from transferring to schools before.

he'd have to sit out a year regardless unless he transfers down a division or has already graduated, but yes Miles has the ability to restrict where he can sign. coaches do that all the time.
