we need to adopt something like texas has to encourage, not discourage, brewery growth.
Didn't Jester King have to sue the TABC before the legislature would consider some of the recent changes?
I completely agree that LA needs to change the laws, but I dont see any craft brewery in LA who is willing to take this head on like JK did.

Well, the laws arent hurting the big boys, like bottomland said, its the start ups that would benefit from self distribution to help them get off the ground.

Helps that one of the JK owners is a lawyer.

In talking with the Craft Beer Guild here, self distribution just isn't high enough up on their list of agenda items to fight at the moment. The climate isn't right yet.

update after the meeting tonight.
No concerns for homebrewers attending and serving at festivals. so go buy your tickets

I bought tickets today for me, the wife and a good friend. Don't know if this means anything, but the last one was numbered 851. The number of tickets is capped at 2,000.

I would imagine I'll find the home brew section and stay in that area most likely

Drinking my hibiscus ginger saison right now. Good and ready for the masses. The dry-hopped hibiscus added a little more body than the older versions. Also weighs in at 9% thanks to a scale error.
