Why a daily thread about STTDB? Whats the big deaL?

I am a 1977 Graduate and don't see the big deal. We yelled obscenities too. Its part of the student experience.
I remember when the basketball crowd yelled racist taunts a lot.

Social media. 90,000+ people with cameras and a voice to put their shitty pictures and opinions out to the world with no filter. Everything - big, small, bad, good - is magnified now.

Maybe allowing honesty, with no filter, will calm people down and help them mature more. Telling people, especially teens, not to do something makes them want to do it more.
