Their IPA from last year. Think it is supposed to be a seasonal. It's not a Pliny or Abrasive killer, but I really enjoyed it.

Dang, haven't even read the whole thread, but it's getting testy.

FBD Green Flash West Coast IPA
SBD Tin Roof Parade Ground Coffee Porter

Both on tap at Pelican House

Big break, then TBD is the rest of Tuesday's Parish Ghost in the Machine bottle while kegging a homebrewed coffee vanilla porter and adding the first batch of dry hops to an IPA.

Debating having a 4BD while I clean this mess up.

Nah, I don't think anyone's got their feelings hurt yet.

It's good to remember all of the quality brews we have had released from local brewers recently.

Fair enough but when a new brewery is 3 for 3 on ones I've tried plus getting amazing reviews on the DIPA, I'll take that brewery over any brewery in LA who's batting .250. Parish can have #1 by far since they are pretty much at 1.000 with more options.

People just need to pump the breaks a little.

What even determines a #1 brewery ? Parish has done a great job of producing top tier beers and do a good job getting them out to the masses in the important cities. But that don't have one beer in my session rotation. NOLA makes great brews with up to 8 one off tap only beers at any given time. But can't get fresh tasting beer distributed outside the area code. Abita has a line up that is widely accept by many, comes in cans and bottles, and can be bought just about anywhere.

And what about these fricks in Mississippi ? Crooked Letter, So Pro hell these guys are closer to me than Shreveport. It's pretty much Texas to me.

frick Mississippi
With that being said, SoPro > Great Raft
That 2014 IPA will be a staple in my fridge...really really good beer.

Nola has quantity over quality. And yea Abita is mass distributed which has to account for something but bud light is also widely accepted.

My brewery rankings are based on taste only. I'm just happy when can actually have this conversation.

LBD is a pour of homebrewed peanut butter chocolate stout. Good one to end it on.
