I think annexation would be a more appropriate term. A bunch of Russians with guns forced the reelection of a new Parliament - and magically the parliament became 100% pro-Russian overnight - go figure.
I know this is the kinda thing conservatives must love, though. That's the entire point of the 2nd amendment - so when you don't get your way at the polls you can force it with a gun.
How long until Putin has taken over half of Europe and has concentration camps set up for gays?

Interesting tidbit I read from a travel twitter account I follow.
Apparently, flights to Kiev that operate out of the Sevastopol airport in Crimea were departing for Kiev from the domestic terminal before but are now departing and arriving via the international terminal.

Yea the shite is shaddy as frick. They are strong arming this shite. Booting the Crimea parliament out and then a new puppet one backed by Putin just shows up.
That an Putin is claiming those armed soldiers with now rank or anything to identify them are locals who armed themselves. I know he doesn't think the world is that dumb

Texas takes far more in federal aid than it gives in taxes.
If Texas seceded from the U.S, taxes there would at least double.

question - what Russia is doing with Ukraines navy, effectively blocking them at port. Is that not a blockade? and isnt a blockade a declaration of war?
So Russia can distort the picture all it wants regarding the troops in Crimea, but this part is overtly Russian and an act of war. impossible to deny.
amirite?

I thought this was the point of the federal judiciary.

I advocate calling Putin's bluff. He says the forces in Crimea arent under his command. Id start moving major assets that direction and send the message that since these arent Russion forces, NATO/US will assist liberating Crimea from rogue occupation at the request of Ukraine.
What in the frick? You liberals kill me with your mission creep shite.
Is Ukraine a NATO member? No? What is the mission of NATO, to go around the word liberating people from oppression and setting up representative governments?
We need to get the frick out of NATO ASAP.

The US does that type of stuff in name of our own interests all the time.
