This is how I see it playing out. This isn't necessarily our 23 best, but it's the best sum of parts that we can offer.

1. Tim Howard
2. Outside Back (TBD - Michael Parkhurst in the lead, Edgar Castillo in last, just behind Alexi Lalas and Kyle Rote, Jr.)
3. Omar Gonzalez
4. Michael Bradley
5. Matt Besler
6. Brad Evans (if Cherundolo can go, Brad Evans becomes the #2)
7. DaMarcus Beasley
8. Clint Dempsey
9. Aron Johannsson
10. Landon Donovan
11. Outside Midfielder (Alejandro Bedoya, maybe Brad Davis or Joe Corona, but I can't see it)
12. Center Back (winner of the Gooch/Goodson cripple fight)
13. Jermaine Jones
14. Kyle Beckerman
15. Graham Zusi
16. Sacha Kljestan or Mikkel Diskerud (maybe Williams or Torres or Edu or Feilhaber can play their way in with a strong 90 days - but they'd have to be exceptional)
17. Jozy Altidore
18. Nick Rimando
19. In-form forward (Wondo/Gomez/Boyd/Agudelo/Whoever)
20. Geoff Cameron
21. Brek Shea
22. Brad Guzan
23. Fabian Johnson

If Green was promised a spot, I assume the #11 is the guy to lose his spot.

Pretty sure Diskerud is a virtual lock

Did forget Diskerud. Put him in the mix at #16.

Bedoya has this on lock unless he gets hurt or Nantes drops him. Klinsy has started him over Zusi on the right in both games when the two were called in.

Mix's spot to lose.

While I agree that Mix is in competition with Kljestan, I really think that they're 50-50 at best.

For any game that's "mattered" (aside from last year's Gold Cup) Kljestan has been a part of the squad. I think the coaching staff rates him a lot higher than the internet does.

I think Bedoya is at best the second choice at RM, behind Donovan and (marginally) ahead of Zusi. I'm not sure I see a need to bring all three, and I think Zusi is a. more versatile and b. a better set piece taker.

I'm like 80% sure Mix gets the spot over Sacha.

Bedoya is a lock, I'm pretty sure.

Is that a natural spot for Fabian Johnson? I just don't recall seeing him play back there.

I wish Gonzalez didn't have the attention span of a border collie or else he could be pretty good. Dude has no positional awareness.

For a while, that was the only place he played for the US. He's on the right for Hoff I believe.

I think the consensus is if he wasn't ready by this camp he won't be in the 23. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

Also he is RB

As much as it pains me to say it, yes. His knee will never be in 100% soccer shape again.

Howard, Guzan, Rimando
Cameron, Evans, Goodson, Besler, Gonzalez, F. Johnson, Beasley
Bradley, Diskerud, Jones, Beckerman
Zusi, Bedoya, Donovan, Dempsey, Johannsson, Kljestan/Feilhaber/Holden
Altidore, Wondo/Boyd/Agudelo/whoever, Green (?)

Week or two ago, I thought Brooks would be going to Brasil, but not so sure anymore...

The positioning sense simply isn't there yet. I would be ok with Goodson taking his spot.
