Have to go to a wedding next month and I figure if I have to go to Deridder I might as well try to see some cool shite on the way back . Any suggestions?

I guess it would help if you let us know the types of things you consider to be "cool shite" at least the broad categories of "shite" that interest you.

For example, if I said The Cathedral of St. John, in Lafayette, and you don't like churches or architecture - you see, I would have wasted both of our time.

Think so. Saw lots of those shirts at the bar last night.

You like nature? Go look at the Atchafalaya basin and get a speeding ticket in Henderson

You can visit the Tabasco factory or head up the Mississippi river and visit some of the plantation homes. House House is a great one to visit.

On your way back stop in Breaux Bridge and eat at Chez Jacqueline's downtown. The best etouffee I have ever had! And about as French as it gets without leaving the country

There's a top notch book store at Exit 72. You can even Park your truck there.

Hit up Diesi's Little Capital at the Cecilia exit. Very clean restrooms and good selection of souvenirs.
