My 5th anniversary is coming up, and giving a set of these babies to the wife seems like the perfect combination of the old (wood) and new (silverware) anniversary gift themes.

Mine did. Always loved those things. Wish I knew where they were.

Safe for the utensils, or safe for the dishwasher?

Those bowls in your picture are sought after too. My sister and I have our Grandmothers and Mothers. I've seen them in some shops and they are expensive.

Yes, they are. I have them in the pastel pink. It took me about a year to find a set in close to perfect condition.

My mama has a wooden spoon/fork set... they look identical to the ones in your picture as to the carving on the handles.

Grandparents? shite, my parents had them. I wonder if they're still in the attic somewhere, I should hang them in my guest room.

Well, since nobody is going to comment on my anniversary gift joke, I guess it wasn't as terrible an idea as I thought?

I did not get her these... I went with jewelry.
