if the Tigers finish 19-11 (10-8) and get 2 wins in the SEC tourney...is there any chance at a bid? or are they gonna have to be SEC tournament champs?

depends who the wins are against IMO

if we beat UF and make it to the finals, then possibly so

short of that i feel that we'd have to win the whole thing

Only scenario I can see is winning the SEC tourney. While not likely, crazier things have happened.

Working under the premise that the SEC MAY get 4 teams in (realistically probably only 3) then LSU is sitting 4th in 4 team group of UT, Ark., Mizzou and LSU. Arkansas is making a big push and has put themselves in good position to make the tournament. UT is right behind them, and with their head to head blowout of LSU, almost assuredly gets the nod over the Tigers. LSU could possibly pass Mizzou in that group, but would need Ark and UT to fall flat on thier faces over the last 2 games and thier first game in the SECT.

Despite the bad losses early in the season, LSU had opportunities late. They let the UK game slip away, and then looked nothing like a tournament team against UF. Unless something completely unexpected happens with the other teams on the bubble (especially in the SEC) then I'd say LSU's only shot is by winning the SECT

SEC Tournament will be our March Madness

I have a feeling we lose in the SEC Tourn similar to how we lost to UK, in gutwrenching fashion.

LSU likely has to win the tournament. Only time will tell however.

Win the next 2 and 2 in the sec tourney and they should have a NIT bid. Only way they make the big dance is if they win the sec tourney.

I can't see this happening at this point. This team has never developed a "chemistry."

UGA won the SEC tourney and made the NCAAs a few years back with a 4-12 conference record. It's a longshot, but longer longshots have happened recently.

I still root for the TIgers 100% all the time, but I don't want to try and sell something that I don't think will happen. I lose credibility doing that.

I could give a list of teams we want to lose the rest of their games, but at the end of the day, this team didn't come together like I hoped. I'm still very hopeful of the future, but this year needs a major change in the last 2 weeks to put together a run that could get them tourney bound.

I've never considered myself a sunshine pumper, but a realist. But I do feel LSU could be a basketball power sooner than later.

You forgot to mention that they got an assist from mother nature when a tornado damaged the Georgia Dome during a game.

The winner of all the major conference tourneys gets an automatic bid. Its a long shot for us to win the tournament. But if we do, we are in.

If that happens we sew up an NIT bid. Until then even NIT is not a certainty, IMHO.
