Would be the perfect player to line up on the other side of Lewis, and I'd be okay paying him a little more.

I was just about to come post this.

This is the full tweet:

quote:

I received wonderful news today. The NFL has reinstated me, and I now have the opportunity to prove to the fans and my teammates how important this sport is to me. I realize now more than ever that being part of the NFL is not a right, but a privilege. I am grateful that Commissioner Goodell and my agent were able to resolve this issue in a positive, productive manner so I can continue my career, provide for my family, and help my team win a Super Bowl. Thank you to all who have gone out of their way to show their support. I will live up to your expectations of me.

Is he any good without PEDs? Or how long will he miss for his next PED suspension?

Don't want him. Too much baggage and you have to question how good he is without his shite...

If we get him at a bargain I'd accept that though. I'd imagine a guy his caliber is going to demand some money in FA though.

I think we could get him on Keenan Lewis type deal! I'd love the kid! Also you can put language in the contract that if he violates the substance abuse policy he loses his bonuses and shite.

He's going to be cheaper than that. And I'd be shocked if a team offered him offered him anything longer than a one or two year deal, both out of fear that he'll get suspended for a year and also because he'll be 30 at the start of the season. He'd be a nice, cheap stopgap though.

I'd absolutely love us to add this guy. Him and Lewis on the outsides along with a rising star in kenny vaccaro and we could be on our way to being one of the best secondaries in football. especially if we would draft another solid safety in the early rounds of the draft.

It’s unclear whether Browner has been reinstated with no strings attached, or whether he’ll have to serve a suspension (e.g., two, four, or six games) after participating in offseason workouts, training camp, and the preseason. Previously, he was banned from all activities until December 2014.

Look for more details to come soon. Potentially interested teams need to know whether and to what extent Browner will be unavailable as of Week One before they decide whether to attempt to sign him.

and some update today-

Schefter reports that Browner will be suspended “for some length of time” at the start of the 2014 season as part of the agreement to reinstate him.

Browner’s challenge to the suspension was centered on the fact that the violations putting him in Stage 3 of the league’s drug program occurred when he was playing in the CFL. It would seem to make sense that any coming suspension would be of the four-game variety faced by players in Stage 2 of the program.

this can only help to lower his contract leverage. At age 30 going into the season, an affordable 2 year deal might be possible. Chaulk me in the Yes We Should column.

CB could be off the #27 list then unless one of the top ones fell (doubt it).

I'm all for it for a good price. Frees up our draft and gives us 3 physical corners
