Now it says I need a cable service with HBO. Can I still just use someone else's credentials like I do on my laptop?

I have ATT Uverse and I'm no longer able to login on my PC. It does some kind of background check with my network connection and determines that my service doesn't subscribe to HBO. Haven't found a way around this to use my roommate's HBO login credentials.

I did that on my laptop yesterday with a Direct TV login and I've never had that cable provider

Does anyone know if it will work with Comcast? Those frickers don't allow HBO Go on my Roku.

their Roku app sucks dick too.
Sometimes it works just fine.
Then some evenings for me and other Roku streamers. it prompts you to reactivate your device then says "HBO isn't available at this time"

when that happens to me I just restart my Roku.
that almost always fixes it.

i'll give that a shot. how do you reset it? I just unplug the power for 10 seconds
