Man this Ralph Peters guy really seems like a super huge tool.

ETA: I prefer the David Hackworth version of the retired military blowhard.

Fox News says we are surely headed toward World War III. I hope Fox is wrong and the administration turns this thing around.

Don't know what the "controversy" is. Obama not only admits as much, he CAMPAIGNED ON IT!

What is Obama supposed to do? It seems that the majority of the Crimean people want to secede from the Ukraine and join Russia.

Obama's biggest issue is setting expectations and not delivering.

You should learn the difference between a begrudging respect for rationality and decisiveness, as opposed to pie-in-the-sky platitudes.

You know, the unicorn farts and fairy dust we've been fed for over 5 years now.

So you are comparing the Republican base now to the democrats rooting against us in the Iraq War?

That was an actual war we were in, this is just political bullshite.

COL Peters said something at the end of that segment ... to the effect of ... "Obama wants to do something ... but he has absolutely no clue what to do."

Their statist is a stronger player than our statist.

The best case is to rid the world of both.

So you're saying an Obama presidency means California is majority vote away from joining Mexico?

Peters said he is against military intervention by the US and that Putin is an aggressive dictator, a thug and a bully, but he backs economic sanctions.

Peters seems to talk in absolutes - "Obama has no idea what to do", but the fact that Obama is considering economic sanctions, which Peters is for, pretty much renders that statement "political wanking". So, he guilty of what he accuses others of doing. This guy is perfect for Fox News & the other wankers out there.

Ask Abraham Lincoln. Didn't the majority of people in the southern states want to secede from the United States? Or is this more of a Declaration of Independence type deal where the declaration is made by a foreign government on behalf of those seeking independence?

Pretty much. Heard a caller on C-Span ask a former Ambassador to Ukraine if Putin rattled his sabre, manipulated the Stock Market...then backed off and cashed in.

Earth 2014.

Do we know this to be true? Some Crimean people are speaking out saying the protestors are paid Russian citizens, not locals, and the protest pictures are propaganda cropped to look more significant than they really are.

It's like 55-45 I think. I wouldn't be surprised to see some ethnic cleansing of the "minorities" soon.
