Nobody expects the poor to take any responsibility for themselves.

We will never end the entitlement mentality in America with these attitudes.

i thought that those who had done it were pretty easily identifiable and had lost future benefits in the same amount? i saw a headline suggesting that in the last week or two but didn't really read it

if what i assumed was correct (and it could definitely not be), i doubt that prosecuting those guilty is really a great use of resources

You should do a thread about all of the white collar crime in this country and the appropriate punishment they get handed.

Wall St crooks create a bubble and cause incredible hardships only to be bailed out by the taxpayer.

There have been many threads on this, and many protests in the streets. They are just as protected as the entitled voters, just for different reasons.

Blame the govt. Same people I blame for the shitty welfare situation in this country.

Don't blame anyone for playing by the rules they are given, whether they be rich or poor

I was being facetious, in an effort to make a point.

On the opposite end of the spectrum we have not held people accountable, and their crimes caused infinitely greater detriment than these food stamp thieves.

Well to be fair they bend and break the rules, but still I wasn't blaming them.

Not sure how you interpreted it the way you did, especially considering my posting is consistent with attacking the government as a whole. I was simply countering the OPs point.
