I was backing out of my carport in my F-150 and clipped the pole with the passenger side mirror. It popped the cover off the front of the mirror and broke the tabs that held it in place. I've looked online but am having trouble finding a replacement for it. The number on the inside of the cover came up with a big goose egg on results.

No it wouldn't have he'd have run out of gas before putting in reverse. The one plus it probably would have made the Toyota look better.

Yeah you need a new mirror. They aren't cheap. I think around 500 or 600 with installation.

I wish I'd have bought that Nissan Titan that I was looking at when I bought this one, but I only have one more year left to pay this one off so I guess I'll keep it.

Can't hardly buy piece parts anymore.

I wanted to replace a taillight lens on the baby's truck and I ended up having to buy the whole housing, bulbs and all.

It's just crazy is what it is. Who in the hell came up with the idea that they'd make shite you cant fix without a special tool or make it so you can replace only the broken part. I think I'd rather buy an old truck and rebuild it than to buy another new one.

First of all, what year?

Is it an XL, XLT, Lariat...?

Do you have power mirrors? Heated?, telescoping?

A lot of times you can install the mirror yourself, if you don't have to pull the interior door trim off.

Depending on what type mirror you have, anywhere between $150 to $600.

The wife did the same thing to my 06 XLT mirror. I bought a used (like new) one on ebay for $60 and but it on myself. Took about 20 minutes to install.
