They should move to Russia where they would be welcomed.

So, why in the hell do we have 20 million ILLEGAL ALIENS in this country?
We may not be granting them asylum, but we sure as hell aren't discouraging them coming across the border.
It's truly a sad day in this country when hard-working, honest people are told they aren't welcome in the U. S. of A.

That's not the kind of people that vote "correctly"...

They should have just sneaked in through the Mexican border.
Then they would be real Americans

This is a sad story, in my opinion. Europe in general has become very hostile to religion, bordering on anti-religion bigotry. What we would consider a right has been denied to these people because of the intolerance of the German government on things religious. I agree that the U.S. government can't correct every unfairness, but this seems like a reasonable case to have granted asylum based on religious persecution.

The Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from a German family seeking asylum in the United States because their home country does not allow home-schooling.
Wait....WE are now asking the SC to rule based upon "feels good" and "Well, those other people get in here, so lets let these nice folks in, too"?
Really? REALLY? We want the SC to make up reasons to let things we'd prefer to happen take place?
I feel as if i am lost, now.

Not sure which side you are on in this story.
Are you on the "lost" because their appeals were rejected?
Or, "lost" because now we want to have the SC rule based upon the 'good feeling' side of the equation?

i put it on the executive branch

I've no issue with that.
I would be happy to have these nice folks reside in the U.S. and hope they can. But, I do not think the SC is incorrect in its decision.

LOL You do know that countries like Sweden, the UK and Germany have state supported Churches.
The idea that Europe is hostile to religion is nonsense. In fact Germany has state taxes in support of Churches. The thing is that family should send their kid to public school and received either protestant or Roman Catholic religious education in a state school.
There is no reason on religious grounds for them to not attend school in Germany and they are not persecuted. Just because you are a religious whack job doesn't mean you are persecuted.

and the anti-freedom, bigot brigade marches (goose-steps) on.

A religious whack, ey?!?! How about if those government schools teach things that are contrary to your beliefs and values!?!?! Let those kids be indoctrinated by the government, much better to be government whacks than religious whacks. Yeap, clear as mud!
