Heard he passed away this am. Great guy, and coach. A loss for all my family.

I loved this guy. I had the opportunity to work with him on a couple of occasions and he was fun to be around and was a true visionary.

he built a hell of a program at west monroe and was a direct pipeline for sending the best players to LSU...

Met him at a golf tournament in Monroe about 10 years ago; totally unassuming man and very nice to talk to. RIP, Coach Shows

He did what none of his predecessors could do, awaken the sleeping giant and in doing so, elevate the self esteem of an entire community. He got everyone on the same path, and proved that you didn't have to have an overabundance of 5 star athletes to reach and stay at an elite level. He created a blueprint that others now follow. Those are mighty big shoes to fill; thank goodness Jerry Arledge is there to assist in the transition.
