Recommend a trolling motor/fuel storage, EDIT: engine mounted trolling motor

Looking to purchase a trolling motor for my boat seen below. It's a pretty deep hull so I will need a long shaft. I don't need anything fancy like wireless or foot controls, just something that will get the push pole out of my hands
Second, I was told about a large fuel container (80-100 gallons) on wheels. Anyone have a link? Boat is kept on a lift at the camp and has a 66 gallon fuel tank. Would be nice to have this at the camp

Not sure they make one with a shaft that long to put on the front

Well I'm in the mud on in that pic, did a little island exploring. It's usually not that far of a gap from the water
I'm hoping a 48" shaft would do the trick

How would you fill it? Move it?

Link isn't working but if I can find one 80-100 gallons on wheels I can move it from the truck when I have a few fellas out here fishing

If you have a Northern Tool close by they have several options for Fuel tranfer tanks

How will you move the fuel from the gas station to the camp? Do you have an elevation drop from where you would park the truck and where the gas would be stored?
You might be better using 55 gallon drums at the dock, and using hoses and an electric pump to move fuel from the truck to the 55 gallon drums...

Not ideal, but keep in mind the possibility of installing a trolling motor on the transom.
With an iPilot you could operate it from the bow and not take up bow space with it. (They have a ton of overhang that make docking a PIA.)
Seems like I've seen where someone is modifying TM's to create extra long shafts, but can't find it.
Have you measured the distance from bow to water?

Motorguide Great White 60 inch shaft. I have similar hull with that TM. You want the 60" when in waves. You can always shorten it for shallows.
As for the gas, I have no idea.

minn kota riptide 54 or 60 inch shaft. I would do an ipilot link if you have humminbird electronics otherwise just the ipilot. I know you say you don't care about the remote control but it is sweet. I can make the boat follow a contour line on the map for trolling up crappie or drifting for catfish.

Your talking a considerable amount of weight if you want to transport 100 gallons of fuel. 600 lbs for 100 gallons will not be a small feat to get from truck to dock even with help. Unless you can drive within reach of the boat tank you would be better off with x2 25 gallon tanks or going to a marina.

^^ This may be OP's only option.
Photos can be deceiving, but it doesn't look to me like a 60" shaft is gonna do much. I have a 45" shaft on a bass boat (Bullet), and the deck of my boat sits a whole lot closer to the water than appears to be the case in that pic.

I am not sure what you have in mind for the fuel tank, but you can buy most any size at places like tractor supply....

anyone have any experience with engine mounted trolling motors like pictured below?

My cousin had two mounted on his boat to troll baits when tarpon fishing. We made a run out to west delta and the props sheared off. I'd personally never mount them on my motors after than experience. They were brand new. I would look at getting a bracket made that you could flip them up to pick them up out of the water when running if I were going to get them.

They also can be mounted on your trim tabs.

I'd never mount in back. What boat you have? Certainly some one has bow mounted a tm on that model boat.
