Sounds like it's a two horse race for best supporting actress and while I love JLaw, I don't know if it's a great idea for her to win for American Hustle

As much as I love JLaw, got to give it to Lupita Nyong'o. A batshit crazy performance I think is a bit easier to deliver than what Lupita had to work with, and since I think they were just about equal, I'd vote for Lupita.

JLaw was funny and all in AH but her character did skew a bit to the caricature side. That was part of the style the movie was going for, I guess, but I don't think it was award-worthy.

I told my wife the black woman would win, she would cry on stage, all of the white women in the crowd would cry with her, the black women would smile adoringly, and the men in the crowd would have a serious look.

Lawrence won last year?

But one was best actress and this is supporting, right?

Nobody goes back to back I believe. That's like first ballot HOF. They probably won't let it happen deserved or not.

I'm just saying that J Law's character was easier to perform. Lupita's was more difficult.

I love her, but come on. jlaw was barely in that movie, and all she did was act batshit crazy.

I'd like to believe it doesn't work that way. It has happened about 6 or 7 times with Tom Hanks being the most recent.
