Kid Creole on Airline Hwy

Had been seeing a "business for sale " sign out front for about a month or so. Passed yesterday, and the gas pumps are gone, and they were loading out all of the kitchen equipment. I know he opened a place on Metairie Rd, anyone know if that location is still open? He made a contender for best RB poboy IMO.

I was asking LE about this the other day. Don't see how a place like that wouldn't make it. Pretty sure the Met RD location is still open.

My only thought was that it was too much with two locations and he just said screw the gas station, I don't really know?

That location had to be making money. There were tons of people in there at lunchtime. I don't think he sold it because of low sales.
And I agree, one of the best RB poboys in town.

Found this on another board where the owner posts as "Chef Airline":
Guess he's just retiring.

Business opportunity
Yes, it is time for the Kid to go and rather quickly, too.
So, for any foodservice people out there, here is a business opportunity with ancillary profit areas(merchandise and motor fuel) that has an established a customer base and reputation.
Fulll kitchen for breakfast & lunch mainly, and catering.
PM me with inquiries.

Will you keep the place on Metairie Road?

Yes. That is my daughter and husband operating it.
No changes, at this point.
Guess he's just retiring.
