Found out 2 of my friends who both very intelligent guys are big time into pro wrestling. One is a very successful attorney.

And I think it's weird as shite. Wtf???

Its a soap opera for men. Its no worse than the crap women watch, like honey boo boo's fat arse.

To me, it's no different than grown men that are into super hero movies, which I'm sure many of you are.

I thought the same thing when my friends said they got into it. I couldnt believe it until a dozen of us got drunk and they made me watch it. Although I wouldn't do it on my own, watching it with them while intoxicated made it more fun to watch. It's really just so ridiculous and over the top that its fun while you have a blood alcohol of .15<

As bad as that is, a completely scripted sporting event is worse IMO.

This. I don't really watch anymore but on the rare occassion that I do it is entertaining.

I wonder why one grown man cares what another grown man does with his time.

Like the other poster said, it's a soap opera for guys. I've watched it since I was a kid.

I know it's all scripted but I still enjoy it. Sometimes the writing is really boring but sometimes it's really good. Like I said, a soap opera for guys.

If they threw chairs at each other on the Young and the Restless, I might watch that.

I know a very successful doctor that's into it. It's fun to him still. Honestly, I'm jealous.

It's weird but who cares. Let them enjoy whatever they want.

It's no worse than grown men watching movies or any other form of scripted entertainment.

I watch on occasion. Only enjoy the bigger storylines.

I went to college with a guy who was professionally trained at Ric Flair's school. Said they teach you how to fake and land a lot of the moves, but that they also hurt like shite. It's incredibly physical and they do have to be great athletes if they aren't a circus style performer(big show, the great khali, etc...). That move where they sling a guy in the corner and slap his chest over and over? He said that's 100% real. In training they put you in the corner and slap you for over an hour rotating through trainers. They teach you how to take abuse. Also, one false move and you maim a guy for life.

This phrase is really getting worn out on this board. If we all kept our opinions to ourselves, TD wouldn't exist. That's why we are all here.

I should go on a WYHI thread and say, "why does a grown mam care what another grown man would frick?"

Or go on the rant and say, "why does a grown man care what another grown man thinks about the basketball team?"

The OP asked for people's opinion.

End thread derail
