I don't get why people are hating on Loma. He had serious balls fighting Salido in his second pro fight and he did a damn good job. He out landed Salido, beat him up badly in the final two rounds, and was way more accurate all night long. This is really impressive considering Salido was two weight classes heavier on fight night and landed at least 20 low blows in that fight. I mean, he only lost by split decision.

Those body punches were being way overblown....if they were as effective as HBO made it out to be, Loma would have broken down. But, Loma was more fresh in the final five rounds than in the first five. That's not a sign of great body work by Salido. Don't get me wrong, he was working the body and took Loma off his game, but he wasn't pounding him like Lampley was claiming.

Give me a guy like Lomachenko who wants the best over a pu$$y like Gary Russell or Deontay Wilder who are still fighting tomato cans five years into their professional careers.

I don't really hate Lomachenko. I barely know him (only seen two of his fights). And I absolutely agree that I admire and appreciate his willingness to fight the best early in his career. But, through no fault of his own, he was billed as the "prospect of the year" by Ring, ESPN, etc. I always enjoy when hype trains get derailed (Broner, Matthysse, Loma, whoever). The only person I hate is Bob Arum. And knowing that Loma is with Top Rank added a little extra satisfaction when he lost, knowing that one of Arum's presumed future cash cows would take a little longer to arrive.

On top of all that, I was rooting for Salido. A veteran champion, yet an underdog against a fighter with one professional fight in his career.

This, obviously, is only the beginning for Lomachenko. He will likely go on to be a star. He showed tremendous skill to be so young in his career. Also showed tremendous grace and professionalism in defeat. . . But last night wasn't his night. I scored it 115-113 Salido. Gave rounds 5,7, 10, 11, and 12 to Lomachenko.

That was so dumb. And Roy Jones was the only one who thought it was a good call, then he kept saying it was right because the ref warned him so many times before. Good call Roy.

Was it Kellerman or Lampley that said "DON'T DO IT!" the moment he paused the action to take the point away?

And I was happy to hear Lampley blast Cole in the Salido-Lomachenko fight. He didn't do anything about the holding, low blows, etc. It would have been a much better fight had he stopped that nonsense.
