There was a thread last year and I can't find it through the search. I've got Chamberbitter pretty bad and then I was told I have to combat the problem pre-emergence. I have trees and can not use Atrazine. Grass is centipede and St Augustine.

Any recommendations?

Call Dan Gill on wwl 870 Saturday morning. Maybe you can email him through the wwl site

Pre emergent, not sure. But I was able to kill it with spot treatments of Ortho Nutsedge Killer in my centipede lawn. If you spray it over the entire lawn it will cause some temporary yellowing.

Best pre emergent I've used in a product called dimension. Great in laws just do not use in a vegitable garden if you have one. You want to get it out soon though for it to be effective. It works my preventing weed seeds from germinating. If they've already germinated then you can only control with herbicides. Go to Naylors on old Hammond. Ask for butch or Johnny. I worked under them for 3 years and they are the most knowledgeable people on lawn and garden I've ever met.

Weed free zone from a local Ace Hardware. Incredible for spot treatments or to spray the whole yard. Just mix it a little stronger for spot treatments.

Get some Tenacity herbicide. Works as a pre and post emergent.
