After always owning a Chevy or GMC, I finally made the switch.

Ford and I love it. I've always thought exterior looks were a wash btw ford and GMC. Still do.
But ford completely shits on GMC when it comes to the interior. I had a 2011 GMC 4x4 and now have a 2011 f150 XLT 4x4. Was going to go newer but it had 30k miles and a price I couldn't beat.
Already leveled out so it sits well. I can't get over how much better the inside of a ford is better than GMC.

And so much more room. Both were crew cabs but this one makes my old GMC feel like an extended cab.

I was just thinking GMC will really have to step their shite up to get me back. The 2011 radio setup was very, very similar to the 2003 and 2001 I had. And though it's not a big deal, the keyless entry was the same as those AND my 98 step side I had back in the day. GMC needs to step its game up for real. Still like em but it seems like they're just updating the exterior and tweaking the interior.

i'm prob gona' make the switch on my next truck also. nothing ever caused me probs with GM/Chevy but they took a govt handout and ford didn't.

Well, a long stretch to me is greater than 6 hours. I've only gone from mccomb to Gonzales in it (roughly 2 hours) and It was great. Actually didn't even think about that but in my GMC I would always shift my weight and positioning (sit on my foot or something). I didn't even take my boots off. Comfortable ride.
Not that GMC was uncomfortable, but until you mentioned that I did move a lot in it.

I have. I looked at the 13. And you're right, they really did do well updating. I was speaking more about the 2011's since I essentially made a lateral move. I still feel like the 2011 ford competes with GMC's new model.

I like my Ford quite a bit, but I liked my '08 GM seats better than the 06 Ford or my 2011 Ford.
Only notice it on trips of 6 hours or more.
I just wondered if other folks had the same opinion.

That interior will make your time on the side of the highway waiting on the tow truck much more enjoyable.

I hate GM seats, I've got a 98 Z71 sitting at my parents house. If you look at those seats and my cousins 2010 they are the EXACT same seats. They suck arse. My seats in my Ford are like sitting in lazy boys.
