Incoming: GK: Michael Lisch (New Mexico); DF: A.J. Cochran (Wisconsin), David Horst (Portland); MF: Tony Cascio (Colorado – intraleague loan); FW: Mark Sherrod (Memphis)

Outgoing: DF: Bobby Boswell (D.C. United); MF: Alex Dixon ; FW: Calen Carr, Brian Ching (retired), Cam Weaver

Roster

2014 Schedule

I HIGHLY recommend keeping up with this website: Dynamo Theory It's the best place for dynamo news

Strengths
This deep and seasoned outfit possesses a firm knowledge of how it wants to play and relies on its nous to churn out results. Tally Hall is one of the league's best goalkeepers, a number one capable of stealing matches on a regular basis. The back four must answer a few questions, but Corey Ashe and Kofi Sarkodie offer some width moving forward from their fullback spots.

Ricardo Clark covers acres of space in central midfield and links the play well enough. Davis and Garcia combine to a present a complex threat as the Dynamo moves briskly through the middle third. Their quality on the ball permits the Dynamo to keep possession if desired and supplies plenty of creativity into the final third.

Andrew Driver and Alex López constitute the sort of quality secondary options most teams can't afford or locate. The trio of Giles Barnes (team-high nine goals last season), Will Bruin and Omar Cummings looks like it could provide enough goals on paper. And veteran coach Dominic Kinnear knows how to engineer a response if the performances or the results dip.

Weaknesses:
The strength of the collective obscures the lack of a trusted number nine to lead the line and polish off moves reliably. Bruin's inefficiency left the Dynamo exposed in the final third. If he doesn't improve his precision, then Barnes (again) or Cummings must shoulder a larger load than desired on that front.

Ashe and Sarkodie face a similar conundrum as they push forward given the revamped nature of the central defensive department. Their adventurous nature could leave the rearguard exposed at points, but a more conservative approach limits Davis' ability to float inside to create overload situations.

Probable starting XI:

-------Bruin------Cummings----

Davis-----Rico----Barnes---Boniek

Ashe----Taylor----Horst---Sarkodie

Damn, I didn't realize Bobby Boswell left. That sucks. Looking forward to this season and spending many nights in BBVA.

That away jersey is a beaut.

Horst is a poor mans Boswell. Not too worried. I also think this year will be sarkodies breakout year.

What I am concerned about is bruin. If he starts sucking again I'm done.

But his arse on the bench. Put Giles up top with Omar and slide Crevalle into Giles mid spot

With no sponsor yet will they put Dynamo on the front?

idk why but I feel like sponsors belong on kits, not a ton like Mexico league but just one big time company is perfect

If you put a city/name on the front. You can not, by MLS rule, change it during the season. So, no, they will not

really excited to see Cummings healthy this year, also wondering where the midfield DP dude fits in, forget his name. Bruin better get his shite together, he was basically the reason we never won a lot of games comfortably last year.

Cummings at the end of last year was scary. So excited.

I'll give bruin one more chance. But I'm almost done with him

Alex Lopez is the midfield DP you're referring to. Word is dom is not too high on his work ethic so he has been in the doghouse all preseason. He won't be a starter for sure. But I'm interested to see if he's first off the bench.

Still holding out on buying tickets for Saturday night's game. I want to see if the weather forecast gets any better. I'd hate to put my fiance through a low 50s rainy game.

Also, I got a little depressed when I saw how many games are on Comcast this year. I love the Dynamo, but not enough to give up Uverse for Xfinity. Uverse doesn't have to know that, though. I used the Dynamo as the reason I "wanted" to switch to Xfinity to get my rate down.

That was my thinking. I'll still wait until tomorrow. Yesterday the cheapest tix on Stubhub were $32 and today it is $25.
