@WojYahooNBA: Caron Butler has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder, a league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Absolutely love the move by OKC. Exactly the type of guy the second unit needs.

Shocked he chose OKC over Miami. Most projected him to Miami.

So Granger chooses Clippers over Miami.

And Butler chooses Thunder over Miami.

Interesting...

I agree. Interesting decisions. Any other buyout candidates still around?

I'm not trying to say Miami doesn't need anyone, but they don't. There rotation and mix are great right now. Don't really need to add anything. The wildcard will be Oden and how much he can actually give. He will be mainly used in the Indy series, but there almost needs to be a rotation of Birdman and Oden at some point.

Butler = perfect fit in OKC

Granger = TBD, I don't think he fits over there. It seems like LAC always add guys to the mix that don't make sense. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out, but I dont like it. I think Granger with the Bulls would have been a really nice fit.

They may not need anyone but they are on record as aggressively pursuing both Granger and Butler. Which is interesting along with the fact neither ended up there.

Of the last 15 years, he's easily in the mix.

Antwan Jamison and Stephen Jackson are there as well.

7 teams over the course of a decade and a solid 15ppg, 5.4 Rpg. Pretty good player to have been moved around so much.

He's guaranteed minutes in OKC while he isn't in Miami. Miami doesn't need him. It would have been nice, but it wasn't necessary to add him.

I've always said (even when Harden was here) that the only type of player OKC was/is missing is a wing defender that can knock down outside shots.

He'll definitely have a defined role in OKC, there really was no clear role for him in Miami. Both teams should obviously be fine.
